Tim and Rita
The first recording sessions, engineered by Doug Yoel, were at Park Avenue Synagogue, in mid-2015. As a member of Park Avenue’s vocal quartet, Tim is grateful he was given a chance to record a significant part of Album One in such an amazing space.

"It's a wrap!” Initially a bit shy about playing on the recording, Tim convinced Rita to join him on a few tracks. She was excellent. Look at that smile!

After many months of editing and mixing the songs recorded at the synagogue, Tim had gathered several other Franz songs, and was eager to include them on Album One. This photo was taken during the second round of recording sessions, engineered by Peter Karl in Brooklyn.

In the second half of the L.A. recital, Tim and Diana sang George Kahn’s song setting of poetry by A.A. Milne. The cycle includes both solos and duets. They reprised the songs in San Francisco the following month.
